The Global Centre on Biodiversity for Climate is a UK programme that funds research into natural solutions to climate change and poverty.

Global Centre on Biodiversity for Climate launched their first grant competition, and will be open until 20 July. The theme of this first competition is the role of biodiversity in sustainable agriculture and natural resource management. Unlocking the potential of nature to deliver climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods. Under this theme, the competition is focused on:

  • Sustainable agriculture for food, fibre, fuel and pharma supply chains; and
  • Natural resource management approaches resilient to climate change (including protecting and enhancing; ecosystem, water resource, and habitats)

Grants of £100,000 – £750,000 are available for research projects with a duration of 12 – 36 months. The research period will run for up to 3 years from November 2023.
