The Luddenden Foot Flood Warden Group was set up in 2017 with support from Councillor Katie Kimber and neighbouring flood wardens.
The group works with Calderdale Council to help residents and businesses prepare for flooding. Together, they have developed a community flood plan for the area.
There are currently five active flood wardens. They share flood warnings and local updates, support property flood protection measures, and monitor surface water and drainage issues. They also help the community recover after flooding where possible.
