Park Road Elland

Flood risk is not new to Elland. The earliest documented flood occurred in 1615, resulting in the destruction of Elland Bridge.

Flooding on Park Road, Elland. All the properties on the street are flooded including the local pub and highway.

Elland has a long history of flooding. The earliest recorded flood destroyed Elland Bridge in 1615. More recently, severe floods struck the town in June 2012, Boxing Day 2015, and February 2020.
