Mytholmroyd
Flood Group

Find out more about the Mytholmroyd Flood Group.

A group of about twelve people stand together indoors, posing for a group photo. They are all wearing bright neon yellow high-visibility jackets, some with "FLOOD WARDEN" printed on them. A few individuals also have walkie-talkies attached to their clothing. In the front center, a man holds the leashes of two pugs—one black and one fawn—standing on the floor. The background shows a doorway and a brick wall.

Set up after serious flooding affected Calderdale in 2012, the Mytholmroyd Flood Group work alongside partners in Hebden Bridge and Todmorden. The group’s aim is to share information and help Mytholmroyd residents and businesses protect themselves from possible flooding. Wherever possible, they also provide help during and after a flood.
