The Government Delivery Award is a celebration of the best project delivery talent in Government. The Calder Collaborative Delivery Team (CDT) is delivering the £250 million programme of flood defence projects in the Calder Valley (18 schemes, spanning 26 miles). The award is in recognition of the team’s incredible efforts to overcome technical, environmental, and economic challenges associated with working in a rapid response catchment within a confined, heavily urbanised valley.
The Calder Valley Collaborative Delivery Team (CDT) challenges processes to achieve results quickly. Prioritising a collaborative approach, the team developed a beneficial partnership scheme, addressing programme risks and increasing confidence with bold ideas.
