Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We are inviting residents like you to participate in the Citizens’ Jury. A diverse group brought together to consider important issues and recommend changes to local decision-makers. No prior experience or knowledge is needed; just your willingness to share your opinion and help shape the future.
How can we make Calderdale homes better?
Our initiative focuses on creating greener, more energy-efficient, and climate-resilient homes. As part of the borough’s Climate Action Plan, we aim to achieve a net-zero target by 2038. To reach this goal, at least 69,000 local properties need to be upgraded to an EPC rating of C or above. This process, known as “retrofit,” involves measures such as installing insulation, heat pumps, and solar panels.
Calderdale’s retrofit challenge:
We’re looking for jury members who reflect the diversity of Calderdale. As a homeowner, ideally living in a stone-built house or terrace, you can contribute to this important project. Attend in-person jury sessions on Saturdays and up to three online sessions this autumn.
