Upcoming work on Burnley Road
On Tuesday 27 April work will begin on the surface water drainage system within Burnley Road in Mytholmroyd. The work will take place between Sainsbury’s and the junction with New Road and is expected to take approximately 10 working days to complete.
One lane of Burnley Road will be closed and temporary traffic lights will be in place at all times during this period, including weekends and bank holiday Monday (3 May). The pedestrian crossings at the new Caldene Avenue bridge and near the Memorial Gardens will be closed and a single temporary crossing will be in place within the working area.
The bus stops near the Dusty Miller and Hammad’s will be closed for the duration of the work due to their proximity to the working area. Bus users are requested to use the next available bus stops along Burnley Road. For Halifax-bound services, alternative stops are located opposite White Houses and next to the Aux Delices bistro. For Hebden Bridge- bound services, alternative stops are located opposite White Lee Gardens and opposite the Co-op car park.
