Flood alert issued for Upper Calder Valley catchment

The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Upper River Calder catchment. This means flooding is possible, so please be ready to follow your flood plan and check www.eyeoncalderdale.com for updates and preparation advice. The Environment Agency says river levels are forecast to rise in the Upper Calder catchment as a result of persistent rainfall this afternoon, with further bands of rain throughout the night. River levels are expected to react until tomorrow morning (Thursday 11 March) and peak at around 7.30am. We're working closely with our partner organisations to monitor the situation and do all we can to prepare.
